FAQs
-
Generally the only patients who will need a referral are those wanting to claim through Medicare or DVA. If you are a Workcover or TAC patient it's always handy to contact your case manager and make sure that you have approval prior to your first appointment. We will need the details of your claim prior to your first appointment.

There is a specific referral that your GP can complete which allows a maximum of 5 sessions where Medicare will cover a portion of your consult fee. Please speak to your GP about whether you are eligible for this referral - it's often called an EPC or CDM referral. On the day of your appointment you will be asked to pay the full amount, and then we will process the Medicare portion for you which then allows Medicare to pay the rebate directly to you. For each appointment you will be approximately $30 out of pocket after the rebate is applied.

This one is tricky and depends entirely on what is going on as well as how long it's been an issue for. This is a conversation to have in your initial appointment with your Physiotherapist. Our goal however, is to get you to a point where you can self-manage your injury/concern as quickly as possible.
